Other Recycling Opportunities

Besides the WMEA Program providing recycling opportunities in the county there are others such as:

Koharts Recycling
Koharts Recycling is the county wide recycling center.  They are located outside of Broughton on SR 613.  Koharts will take all of the regular recycling items such as:  newspaper, cardboard, steel cans, and aluminum cans.  They also take, as a surplus company, appliances and scrap metal. Koharts will also take and pay for car batteries.

Erie Recycling
Another recycling opportunity is through Erie Recycling, a 24/7 recycling center located out of Antwerp.  Erie Recycling is now a permanent recycling center. They have a drop off site in Antwerp.  They offer curbside recycling in Paulding, Payne and Antwerp.   They man a recycling trailer in Paulding Village at the fairgrounds parking lot the first Saturday of each month from 9-11:00.  They also have another trailer on the same first Saturday in Cecil at the fire department.

Erie Recycling takes all the regular recycling items including magazines and shredded paper, as well as all batteries from car to flashlight batteries.
